Pets of the week
GREENVILLE - The Darke County Animal Shelter has many pets available
for adoption, including several breeds of dogs, as well as cats and
kittens. The Shelter chooses pets to feature each week, this week
they've selected:
Julie is a 5 year old Chocolate Lab. She is brown with short hair. She
weighs around 70 pounds. She is a big girl and very friendly. She does
know some commands. She will make a wonderful family companion and best
friend. She in housebroken and is current on her shots. She is ready
for adoption.
Sparky is a 2 year old Chihuahua mix. He is black, white and tan with
short hair. He is a sweet little guy and only weighs around 8 pounds.
He is a little timid when you first meet him, but after that he becomes
a little lapdog. He will make a wonderful housedog and great friend. He
is ready for adoption.
Rocky at the Darke County Animal Shelter. He is a 1 ½ year old Lab mix.
He is white with short hair. He is a big play dog and loves to play tug
of war. He knows how to sit on command and is very trainable. He will
make a great country dog and has been altered. He is looking for a good
home and is ready for adoption.
They also have a terrier, a Rottweiler mix, and numerous other dogs as
well as cats and kittens for adoption.
The Shelter hours are 8am till 4:30pm Monday-Friday and 9:00 till noon
on Saturday. The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Road in
Greenville, and the phone number is 547-1645.
2016 dog license are now available. They can be purchase at Greenville
Ace Hardware, Birts Store in New Weston, Osgood State Bank, Versailles
Ace Hardware, Patty’s IGA in Bradford, Sutton’s Super Valu in Arcanum,
Farmers State Bank in New Madison, and two new locations, Marsh
Hometown Market in Union City, and Ansonia Auto Parts in Ansonia. The
can also be purchased at the Auditor’s Office in Greenville and the
Darke County Animal Shelter.

DOGS OVER 3 MONTHS OF AGE MUST HAVE A LICENSE. For more information you
