Pets of the week
GREENVILLE - The Darke County Animal Shelter has many pets available
for adoption, including several breeds of dogs, as well as cats and
kittens. The Shelter chooses pets to feature each week, this week
they've selected:
Elvis is a 4 year old Beagle. He is black, white and brown with
short hair. He is a friendly guy who is full of energy. He could make a
good hunting friend and his nose is always to the ground. He is not
housebroken and doesn’t care much for cats. He is current on his shots
and is waiting to be adopted.
Bently is a 2 year old Lab/Shepherd mix. He is black with short hair.
He is a big guy who weighs around 70 pounds. He is a friendly guy and
is a people dog. He is very trainable and will make a great companion.
He is current on his shots and is waiting to be adopted.
They also have a terrier, a beagle shepherd, a Japanese Chin
mix and numerous other dogs as well as cats and kittens for
adoption.
The Shelter hours are 8am till 4:30pm Monday-Friday and 9:00 till noon
on Saturday. The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Road in
Greenville, and the phone number is 547-1645.
2016 dog license are now available. They can be purchase at Greenville
Ace Hardware, Birts Store in New Weston, Osgood State Bank, Versailles
Ace Hardware, Patty’s IGA in Bradford, Sutton’s Super Valu in Arcanum,
Farmers State Bank in New Madison, and two new locations, Marsh
Hometown Market in Union City, and Ansonia Auto Parts in Ansonia. The
can also be purchased at the Auditor’s Office in Greenville and the
Darke County Animal Shelter.
