2016 Citizen

May 18 – GHS Principal Jeff Cassell presented Students of the Month
plaques to Casey Mortenson and Clayton Guillozet. Casey is in
Medical Tech Prep, Waivaires/Band, SADD and Spanish Clubs, Varsity
Girls Golf, NHS/NTHS, four years Honor Roll, and Academician. She
is in the Elevate Church Group, a Candy Striper at the hospital, and
worked at their Alzheimers Event. She plans to attend The Ohio
State for a BS in Science & Nursing. Clayton is on Student
Council, Varsity G, NHS/NTHS, Football, Basketball, Science Club,
Region 3 Vice President, and Supply Chain Management Stage Crew.
He volunteers for GHS Senior Citizens Day, Fall & Spring Festivals,
YOLO Run, FISH, Special Olympics, and Youth for Christ. He plans
to attend West Liberty University and play basketball, major in Sports
Management and minor in Business. Congratulations and best wishes!
May 25 – The Citizen of the Year Award went to Reverend Joe Soley
for his many years of service in the community. Joe & his
wife Elaine first came to Greenville in 1979 to minister the Fountain
of Life Church. From there he pastored at the Stelvideo Christian
Church and the First Congregational Christian Church as well as the
chaplaincy at Wayne Healthcare. He's been deeply involved
with the Community Christmas Drive and State of the Heart Hospice. The
Club felt privileged to honor Joe in this way for his many years of
giving and serving others.
