Pets of the week
GREENVILLE - The Darke County Animal Shelter has many pets available
for adoption, including several breeds of dogs, as well as cats and
kittens. The Shelter chooses pets to feature each week, this week
they've selected:
CoCo is a 4 year old Chocolate Lab mix. He is mostly brown with a
little white. He has short hair. He is a happy playful guy who is full
of energy. He appears very trainable. He is current on his shots. He
will make a great walking buddy and friend. He is ready for
adoption.
Ranger is 10 months old and a collie/retriever mix. He has long hair.
He is a friendly guy and big. He loves to play and have fun. He is
current on his shots and will make a great companion. He is looking for
a good home.
Champ is a 6 year old Lab /Shepherd mix. He is mostly black with short
hair. He is a playful fellow and likes to be around people. He is
current on his shots. He is out of the puppy stage and will become your
best friend. He is looking for a good home.
They also have a chocolate lab, a terrier, a Jack Russell terrier, a
chow mix, a couple lab mixes and numerous other dogs as well as cats
and kittens for adoption.
The Shelter hours are 8am till 4:30pm Monday-Friday and 9:00 till noon
on Saturday. The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Road in
Greenville, and the phone number is 547-1645.
It’s time to plan for their 3rd annual 5k run/walk for the dog park. It
will be Saturday April 9th at 9am at the Fairgrounds. You’re welcome to
bring your 4 legged friends and have some fun. They will also have a
BEST DRESSED DOG contest. You can preregister at gtraces.com. Their
