Pets of the week
GREENVILLE - The Darke County Animal Shelter has many pets available
for adoption, including several breeds of dogs, as well as cats and
kittens. The Shelter chooses pets to feature each week, this week
they've selected:
Stella is a 4 year old Lab/Setter mix. She is white and tan with short
hair. She is a sweet girl who loves to play. She will make a wonderful
companion. She likes other dog and loves to have fun. She is ready for
adoption.
Snookie is a 4 year old Beagle. She is black, white and brown with
short hair. She is a sweet little girl and only weighs around 20
pounds. She likes to be around people and be by your side. She is
waiting it be adopted.
Rain is a 3 year old Husky/Shepherd/Hound mix. She is black, white and
brown and has short hair. She is your typical mixed breed dog. She is a
little sweetheart who loves people and other dogs. She weighs around 50
pounds and is a joy to be around. She will make a wonderful companion
and friend. She is ready for adoption.
They also have a chow mix, a couple lab mixes an a Min-pin type, a
Golden Retriever mix, a couple of beagles and numerous other dogs as
well as cats and kittens for adoption.
The Shelter hours are 8am till 4:30pm Monday-Friday and 9:00 till noon
on Saturday. The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Road in
Greenville, and the phone number is 547-1645.
It’s time to plan for their 3rd annual 5k run/walk for the dog park. It
will be Saturday April 9th at 9am at the Fairgrounds. You’re welcome to
bring your 4 legged friends and have some fun. They will also have a
BEST DRESSED DOG contest. You can preregister at gtraces.com. Their
