VACC Spring After
Hours Event
The Versailles Area Chamber of Commerce recently held a Spring After
Hours Event on the top floor of Sideliner’s Bar and Grill. The
event was formed as a networking social to encourage fellowship within
its members.
The two hour event included recognition of two member businesses that
reached their 50 year milestone anniversaries. Aaron Moran,
president of the VACC presented the certificate awards to Rehmert Cycle
Sales and Service and Bill Ahrens Plumbing and Heating.
Howard and Janet Rehmert were on hand to receive the award with
accolades from the members. Howard thanked the chamber, the
community, the public and his customers for the longevity of his
business, which continues to be operated by the couple’s daughters,
Teresa Comer and Jill White.
Bill Ahrens, in conjunction with his sons Bob and Rod, who now operate
the business, also received a 50 year recognition award. Bill
expressed his gratitude for the historic recognition and went on to
thank everyone for the part they played in the success of the business
which continues to bear his name. Although Bill considers himself
retired, he has been known to help his sons when called upon.
