get a look at career opportunities in art
Greenville Middle School students got a unique opportunity on April 18.
Medical Illustrator Mandy Root Thompson talked to Julie Brewer’s art
students about one of the career opportunities available to them.
“It fit in perfectly with our science-art-science unit we’ve been
studying,” Brewer said. “Students were pin-drop silent! It was great to
see how excited they were to find out about her work.”
She added that most of them had never even heard of medical
illustration. “It was a great way for them to understand how
illustrations are made and what types of careers in art exist!”
Thompson owns her own company, Med Draw Studio, based out of Dublin,
Ohio.
