Edison Hosts Program to Inspire Businesses,
Entrepreneurs and Community
The Business and Industry Center of Edison Community College is helping
to meet the needs of business owners, entrepreneurs and the community
by hosting a program this month designed to inspire, motivate and
inform.
On April 15, well-known author and speaker Dr. Denis Waitley will be on
campus to present the program, Being the Best: Leading Yourself &
Others to Excellence, at 8 a.m. in the Edison Theater.
Waitley is one of America’s most respected authors and consultants on
high performance human achievement. He has inspired, informed,
challenged, and entertained audiences from the board rooms of
multi-national corporations to the locker rooms of world-class athletes
to the meeting rooms at conventions throughout the world.
Topics for his program will include: Major Global Trends, Seven
Qualities of Today’s Leader, Being a Servant-Leader and Resilience in
Difficult Times.
“As a manufacturer’s representative for almost 20 years, I logged about
40,000 to 50,000 miles per year behind the wheel of my car and had a
lot of time to become familiar with Denis Waitley’s audio books. His
“Psychology of Winning” was required listening for all the salesmen who
worked for me,” said Jack Bell, Director of Technical Training at
Edison. “That is why I was particularly excited when we were able to
have a lecturer of his stature on our campus for a live presentation. I
recommend this event to anyone interested in bettering themselves.”
Sign-in for the program opens at 7:30 a.m. The registration fee is $25.
