The Cast for DCCA’s
MCT Pinocchio included 60 locals
The cast chosen for Darke County Center for the Arts presentation of
Missoula Children Theatre’s Pinocchio presented two performances
Saturday. The performances featured 60 local youngsters who had to
compete for the roles they played.
Abigail Wright played the role of Pinocchio, the puppet who hopes to
become real; Pinocchio’s nemesis Stromboli was played by Cody
Reynolds. Lyssa Middlestetter appeared as the magical, whimsical
Blue Fairy, and Pinocchio’s good buddy Jiminy Cricket was acted by
Rachel Wright.
The goofy but villainous characters Fox and Cat were played by Trevor
Noggle and Lauren Durham. A.J. Warner had the role of Pinocchio’s
tough friend Candlewick; acting as Candlewick’s hardy crew were
Christian Layman, Brayden York, Casey Puckett, and Nathanael Rice.
Sara Rice, Abigail Kramer, and Mariah Collins were featured as the
Puppets. The brave Toy Soldiers were played by Carson Pope,
Maxwell Jordan, Jacob Dickson, Micah Ayette, Ezekiel Wright, and Tyler
McKinnis. The other toys were portrayed by Kylie Freeman, Chloe
Buschur, Joy Shuff, Joy Dolack, Evelyn Pietrzak, Katherine Kauffman,
Brianna Smart, Elizabeth Moss, and Isabel Rawlins as beautiful
Ballerinas or adorable Baby Dolls.
Also featured were Chloe Cox, Carter Puckett, Preston Pietrzak, Sarah
Crumrine, Cole Kramer, Logan Schulze, Madison Kinner, Jacob Dunn,
Rachel Unger, Cameron Clark, Mykali Isaac, Israel Lehman, Maggie House,
Brooke Via, Megan Vansyock, Grace Coakley, Madison Baker, and Haddi
Treon as the School Kids from Pleasure Isle.
Completing the ensemble were Hannah Coakley, Reagan Herndon, Chloe
Rawlins, Nikki Wheeler, Tanner Herrmann, Lauren Warner, Casey
Mortensen, Ethan Dunn, Sydney Oda, and Jackson Pietrzak as the
irrepressible Urchins.
Hanna Rice, Zachary Miller, Chloe Davenport, and Tyler Strait served as
Assistant Directors, aiding the MCT acting/directing team of Leila Rosa
and Katherine Land. The show’s accompanist was Judy Kugel.
This Missoula Children’s Theatre residency is made possible by a grant
from Darke County Endowment for the Arts; DCCA also receives funding
from local businesses, foundations, and the Ohio Arts Council.
MCT, based in Missoula, Montana, is the nation’s largest touring
children’s theatre, and will visit nearly 1,300 communities this year
with 45 teams of Tour Actor/Directors.
