A Stroll on the
Prairie
Darke County Parks…
When settlers first came to Darke County, prairie stretched southwest
of Greenville for over 15 miles! Join a Naturalist at Shawnee
Prairie Preserve, 4267 St. Rt. 502 West, on Thursday, August 11th for a
leisurely walk through our “back 40” prairie. The hike will begin
at 7pm where we will see what flowers are in bloom, what birds are
active and what butterflies are feeding. Don’t forget to bring
your binoculars and/or camera. For more information on this and
