1 - 21. Artists’ Series at The
Mill. Visit Bear’s Mill for history, nature and art. This month’s
artists’
series including paintings by Selena Burk and new pottery by Julie
Clark, Rita
Wiley, and Loretta Wray. Explore one of Darke County’s heritage sites
and one
of the few ‘working’ grist mills still in operation today. (937)

3 - 6. Union City’s Stateline
Heritage Days. Join friends from two states as they celebrate Union
City.
Activities include midway rides, flea markets, contests, tent revival,
melodrama, karaoke contest, kiddie tractor pulls, Grand Parade and
musical

4 - 7. World’s Longest Yard
Sale Runs Through Darke County. In today’s economic climate, folks are
searching for bargains. Just read your local newspapers to see the long
lists
of garage sales and auctions. Why not get in on the action? Sort

attic; clean out the garage; dust off grandma’s treasures and get ready
for the
24nd Annual World’s Longest Yard Sale on US 127 from Thursday, August 4
through

5. Wine, Wine West at The
Winery at Versailles. Enjoy this western-themed night complete with a
cowboy
cookout with all the fixin’s, square dancing, live music, live band,

5. Wood-fired Pizza and Beer
Night at The Inn at Versailles. Recently, a major renovation took place
at
Michael Anthony’s at The Inn at Versailles in Versailles, Ohio. A
wood-fire
burning pizza oven was installed and the bar area received lots of TLC.
The new
bar now features the pizza oven, 12 perfectly chilled beers on tap and
extended
seating. This Friday, The Inn will host a pizza and beer dinner to
celebrate
the renovations. The 6 course dinner begins at 7:30 pm.The cost is $35
per

7. An Evening on the Lake. Join

19 - 27. The GREAT! Darke
County Fair. The GREATEST county fair on earth - at least we think so!
Kids of
all ages enjoy nine fun-filled days of activities at the Darke County
Fairgrounds in Greenville. Cost is $5 per day or $15 for a nine-day
pass.
Kiddie Day and Senior Citizens Day are Monday, August 22. Veterans Day

27. Third Annual Versailles
FareFest. Enjoy unique wines and specialty beers from around the world,
entertainment and food prepared by chefs from around Ohio. Event takes
place
from 2 to 5 pm on Versailles Fountain Square across the street from the
lovely
Inn at Versailles. Presale tickets for Versailles FareFest can be
purchased for
$40 each at the Inn at Versailles or by calling (937) 526-3020. Tickets
will
also be sold at the door for $45. Food only tickets are available for
$20 each.
