Now through December 17 - Sixth Annual Community Christmas Drive Thru
Light Display. Start a new family tradition by taking a drive through
Harter Park in Union City to see a spectacular light display with more
than 3 million lights. Guests can also enjoy visits from Santa, a live
nativity presentation and a gift shop near the shelter house. For more

Now through December 24 - Christmas at Garst Museum. Visit the Darke
County Historical Society’s museum to see the beautiful trees that have
been decorated by local garden clubs and the VFW Women’s Auxiliary.
Also on display are nativity scenes and nutcrackers from the museum’s

December 2 - Candlelight Open House at Bear’s Mill. Close your eyes.
Picture a crackling bonfire and luminaries reflecting off the water.
Feel the chill in the air. Smell the aroma of fresh cedar. Taste the
hot chocolate with marshmallows. You are invited to enjoy the romance
of the holidays at this historic landmark during an evening in the
country with The Friends of Bear’s Mill from 6:00 to 10:00 pm.

December 3 - Breakfast at the Manger. Bring your children to hear the
story of the real Christmas as well as make a Christmas craft, decorate
homemade Christmas cookies, build their own pancakes, pet barn animals
and have their pictures taken with Joseph, Mary and Baby Jesus at
‘Breakfast at the Manger’ at the Versailles Christian Church. Event is
for preschoolers through sixth-graders, and their parents. Event is

December 3 - 4th Annual Walking in a Winter Wonderland. Visit Shawnee
Prairie from 6:00 to 9:00 pm for an evening stroll through a ‘Winter
Wonderland.’ Enjoy more than 300 beautiful luminaries lighting the way
along a wooded trail to the Pioneer Log House, as well as a roaring
fire, holiday snacks, warm drinks and music from Christmas Past. Guests
can also enjoy a peaceful winter’s hike through the woods with the
crisp air and bright stars of an early December eve. Holiday crafts
will be available in the Log House and in the Nature Center for the
young-at-heart! to make and take. The Gift Shop will also be open
during the event, offering plenty of nature-based gifts and stocking

December 3 - Christkindl Market at The Winery at Versailles. Enjoy this
German holiday tradition complete with the jolly fat man himself, gift
vendors, homemade German grilled sausages and savings galore on
Christmas items. Bring in a non-perishable food item to get a FREE

December 8 - Christmas in the City. Downtown merchants in Union City
will be open for your shopping pleasure from 5 to 8 pm. Live musical
performances will be scattered throughout the area, with the following
fun activities: Cookie Walk, Pictures with Santa, Lions Club Nut Sales,
Carriage Rides, Hotdogs & marshmallows roasting, hot chocolate,
gift wrapping, Holiday Gift Gallery, kids shopping area, Gingerbread

December 10 - Robin Spielberg’s American Tapestry Holiday Performance.
A snowy sleigh ride. Dinner by candlelight. Winter air that is crisp
and clear. Robin Spielberg’s American Tapestry captures these images
with a unique combination of spellbinding music and nostalgic stories
spun together into a warm and winning tapestry of joy, renewal and
love. Performance takes place at St. Clair Memorial Hall in Greenville.

December 10 - Breakfast with Santa! The Greenville Business &
Professional Women’s (BPW) Club invites all children to their Annual
Breakfast with Santa at 9:00 am at the Greenville VFW Hall, 219 N. Ohio
St., Greenville. Santa will be there, along with Mrs. Claus, the elves
and entertainment. Pictures with Santa will be available and Santa will

December 11 - Big Daddy Weave ~ Christmas Concert. Illumination
Ministries welcomes Big Daddy Weave to Greenville for a special
Christmas concert at St. Clair Memorial Hall. Tickets are $15 in

December 17 - Jingle Bell Run / Walk. This event is a fun and festive
way to kick off the holidays with family, friends and coworkers. Dust
off your elf costume, tie jingle bells to your shoelaces and enjoy a 5K
for a great cause. All proceeds benefit the YMCA of Darke County.
Supervised activities, games and crafts will be provided for kids age 9

December 31 - New Years Eve ‘Pre-Party’ at The Winery at Versailles.
Kick start New Years Eve with a “Pre-Party” at The Winery at
Versailles! Enjoy a dinner of roasted pork, sauerkraut, mashed
potatoes, applesauce and roll for only $7.99 from 6-7:30 pm.
Reservations are required for dinner. Open party runs from 7:00 to 9:00
pm and no reservations are needed, and there is no entry fee. Enjoy
