Walking in a Winter
Wonderland - Enjoy a winter walk at Bear’s Mill. Afterwards,
warm up with a hot cup of Bear’s Mill coffee and a shopping trip
through the mill store. Winter hours are Thursday & Friday 11-5,
Saturday 9-5 and Sunday 11-5.

Anna Bier Gallery will feature oils and pastels by plein-air artist,
Mary Ann Davis. Located in the beautiful St. Clair Memorial Hall at 215
W. 4th Street, Greenville, gallery hours are Saturdays, 11:00 - 3:00.
The gallery is also open during DCCA performances or by appointment.

February 5 -
Pianist Alpin Hong will be in Concert at St. Clair Memorial Hall at 8
pm. Tickets for the performance are $20, special $10 student pricing is
being offered for this show. Tickets may be purchased by contacting the
Darke County Center for the Arts at (937) 547-0908 or
dcca@centerforarts.net. Tickets will also be available at the door; all
seats are reserved. Hong will also present a one-hour workshop for all
Jr. High school students in Darke County public schools this Thursday
and Friday at St. Clair Memorial Hall. These performances are open to

February 11 -
Valentine’s Parents’ Night Out. The YMCA of Darke County in conjunction
with CJ’s Highmarks will be hosting a Valentine’s Parents Night Out
from 6:00 to 9:30 pm on Friday, February 11. Call the Greenville YMCA

you be my Valentine Supper Buffet? Have you experienced a Smith
Coffeehouse & Merchants, Ltd. supper buffet? You’ve got to eat it
to believe it! On Friday, Feb. 11, they are hosting their monthly

Antler Amble. Bring along your loved ones for a hike at Worth Family
Nature Preserve on Saturday, February 12 at 2:30 pm. Keep an eye out
for shed antlers from White-tailed Deer. If you find a set of antlers
you can take them home with you. Dress for the weather and meet at
Worth Family Nature Preserve on Spring Hill Road. Pre-register by

Backyard Sugarin’. Enjoy nature’s sweetness by learning how to tap your
own maples, how and when to collect the sap and how to go about turning

County, African Americans, and the Civil War. Love history? The Garst
Museum will present the third in a series of lectures open to the
public with Mr. Roane Smothers. Roane will share stories of African
Americans from the Longtown area and Darke County who left to fight in
the Civil War. All lectures are free and open to the public. For more

Cooking Shows at KitchenAid Experience Center. Learn tips to achieve
professional results in your very own kitchen! Visit their Heritage

3rd Annual Maple Syrup Festival & Breakfast at Shawnee Prairie.
Enjoy guided tours & learn how maple syrup was made hundreds of
years ago. Visit the “Sugar Shack” to get an insider’s view (and taste)
of the modern-day process. Afterwards, warm up by the fire in the Log
House and learn tales of days gone by from Pioneer Interpreters. Maple
syrup products will be for sale.
