Shawnee Prairie Preserve
Venture out to Shawnee Prairie Preserve on Saturday, January 22 to hear
respected author and editor Bob Converse share his intimate knowledge
of Ohio’s prehistoric cultures. Beginning at 10:30am with a
presentation and lecture on the Archaeology and Stone Tools of Ohio,
Mr. Converse will give special focus to artifacts and prehistory in the
Darke County area. Following the lecture, Mr. Converse will
inspect any artifacts that you might have found and let you discover
more about them!
Seasoned archaeology buffs, as well as others interested in learning
more about our rich past, are sure to enjoy this! After the
program, Mr. Converse’s The Archaeology of Ohio and Stone Tools of Ohio
and Elaine Holzapfel’s The Archaeology of Darke County will be
