Greenville Art Guild at Artifacts
Artifacts, a new feature of Downtown Greenville, will host the
Greenville Art Guild this coming Monday, July 11. After a brief
meeting, Artifacts owner, Tammy Fox, will lead the group in a hands on
workshop on the use of alcohol ink.
New Guild President Selena Burk noted that Artifacts is a wonderful
resource for mixed media art creations. Selena, a well known
artist in the area, uses items for fine art mixed media as well as more
craft type mixed media. On Saturday, July 16, she will be
presenting a mixed media workshop for the Randolph County Art
Association at the Union City Depot.
Besides learning the use of a new medium in pursuing their artwork,
Guild members will have an opportunity to browse among Artifacts many
art and craft items. Some may be looking for special finds to use
at Selena’s Saturday workshop.
Artifacts has hosted the Art Guild in the past at their previous
location on Main Street, However, the spacious new shop
offers not only a larger variety of resources but a convenient area for
workshops.
The brief meeting at 7 p.m., before the 7:30 to 8:30 workshop, will
cover info about the experiences of our artist on the Courthouse lawn
at the Saturday Farmers Markets and the plans for preparing the Fine
Arts Building for the Great Darke County Fair.
