Day One of Greenville Eagles Independence Day celebration was deemed a
success with several hundred people enjoying the music, food and family
entertainment at a pristine Eagles Shade Road Park.
Saint Right Band capped the evening, entertaining a growing crowd from
7 to 11 p.m. They followed a buffet breakfast in the morning, DJ music
in the afternoon, and sell-out chicken dinners and hot dogs sponsored
by the Eagles Auxiliary. Kids enjoyed the playground area and several
of the games offered by the Auxiliary.
While this is the first two-day celebration sponsored by Greenville
Eagles, it is their sixth annual celebration. It is a way of saying
“Thank You” to Greenville and surrounding communities for their support
over the years.
Eagles 2177 is a fraternal organization dedicated to community service,
with special emphasis on its youth. Membership is open to all with the
same commitment and a desire for the fellowship the Lodge offers. The
annual celebration is supported solely through Eagles activities and
the patronage of its members.
