Blowout at Eagles Shade Road
Two days of celebration
with family fun, Saint Right, Tempest,
Classified & the biggest fireworks display in Darke County
GREENVILLE – The Greenville Eagles 2177 will hold its 6th Annual
Independence Day Celebration at its beautiful Shade Road Park on
Saturday and Sunday, July 2 and 3.
Kick off the weekend with a Breakfast Buffet from 9 a.m. to Noon.
Starting at 1 p.m. snack on hot dogs and pop corn with your favorite
beverage, but save room for Paul Mueller’s Famous BBQ Chicken Dinners
from 5:30 to 7:30… and put on your dancing shoes for Saint Right from 7
until 10 p.m.
The entire weekend is open to the public but the BBQ Chicken Dinners
are presale only. Get your tickets from any Eagles Officer or in the
Social Room at downtown Greenville Eagles on Third Street.
There will be family events and kids games both days. Children 12 and
under play for prizes, with everyone winning! Eagles Moon Walk will be
open Saturday and Sunday, along with a children’s play area.
Park Gates open at 3 p.m. on Sunday. Concessions throughout the day and
evening include Rismiller’s, Bowman’s Texas Tenderloins, Grumpy’s Pull
Pork and Kettle Corn from the Darke County Humane Society and Pam
Rhoades.
Dance to the music of Tempest’s Sounds of the 60’s from 4 to 7 p.m.,
followed by the renowned Classified from 7 to 10 p.m. Capping off the
night will be the largest fireworks display in Darke County!
Beverages will be available at the Park. No Carry Ins or Coolers are
permitted. Due to insurance requirements, no pets are permitted on the
grounds except Handicapped Assist Canines with proof of papers. The
Greenville Eagles is not responsible for accidents or injuries, or lost
or stolen items. While some park seating is available, visitors are
encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for their seating comfort.
Greenville Eagles 2177 is a fraternal organization dedicated to service
to the community and its youth. The celebration, now in its sixth year,
is funded and staffed by its Aerie and Auxiliary members as a “Thank
You” to Greenville and surrounding communities. Membership is open to
residents of the community who would like to participate in the Lodge’s
goals and activities. Ask any officer or member for an application.
