Story Time for
Children at the Gathering at Garst
The Fort GreeneVille Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution is
sponsoring a story time at the Gathering at Garst Event on Saturday
July 30, 1:30 take p.m. It will place at the Primitive Tent. The
featured colonial storytellers will be DAR chapter member Lady Karen
Washington Burkett and husband John. Children, ages 4 and up are
invited.
The Gathering at Garst, a Garden of Antiques and Art, will be a
quality, juried show that features vendors in the following categories;
artists, antique vendors, skilled historical craftsmen, primitive folk-
artists, garden exhibitors, farmers market and specialty vendors, and
food vendors. Dates are July 30 and 31, 2011 at Garst Museum in
Greenville, Ohio. Public admission to The Gathering at Garst is free.
All celebration proceeds will benefit the Garst Museum.
It is the mission of The Gathering at Garst to promote awareness and
appreciation of those who made unique contributions to the culture of
Darke County and to celebrate its local heritage in a family-oriented
and educational atmosphere.
Event hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 30
and from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 31. Vendor set up will
be on Friday, July 29 from 12:00 to 8:00 pm
