Greenville Toastmasters...
Keynote Motivational Speaker commemorates group’s 40th Anniversary

Active and inactive Toastmasters are invited to celebrate the fortieth anniversary of the Greenville Toastmasters Club #1238 on Saturday, July 9 in the Brick Room of the Brethren Retirement Community from 6:30-9:00 pm.  The celebration includes hors d’oeuvres, dinner, table topics with the charter members, and special keynote speaker Gary Mull.

Gary Mull has earned the honor of Distinguished Toastmaster, the organization’s highest award, and is a Past International Director. He is a former District Champion in the International Speech contest, and is a past District Governor of a four-state, 3000 member district, where he has motivated and inspired the organization on to unprecedented growth and achievement.  During the last fifteen years as a professional speaker, keynote presenter, author, and seminar leader, Gary Mull has delivered his entertaining and informative talks before government, civic and professional audiences internationally. He has written many published articles on motivation, using technology, and other topics, and has been a guest, and host, of multiple talk shows on radio and television.
   
The Greenville Toastmasters Club is a local chapter of Toastmasters International, one of 9,300 clubs in more than 70 countries around the world.  The Greenville Toastmasters Club was chartered on July 19, 1971 at the Greenville Brethren’s Church.  The charter members were:  Alvin Beumer; Everett J. Deubner; Lloyd Edger; Thomas Ellison; Rev. Clarence Fairbanks; Everett Hart; Dale F. Hittle; Melvin Johnson; Marvin McCabe; Richard McClellan; Bob L. Mikesell; Richard Oehrtman; E. Lowell Rife; Dale Rismiller; William Rogers; Clarence Schulze; Dr. L.D. Sharp, D.V.M.; John Stockslager; Richard Tisor; William C. Wilmoth; and Paul Woods.

This local non-profit organization gives individuals the opportunity to improve listening, thinking, and speaking skills through club meetings, training seminars, and speech contests.  Members practice in a comfortable setting surrounded by supportive individuals who also are striving to improve their communication skills.

Among the members attending the anniversary celebration will be Everett Hart, a forty-year member, the only active charter member in the club.  Mr. Hart along with Jim Sink, a thirty-one year member, and Elaine Bailey, a five-year member, are chairing the event.

The cost per person is $16.  Reservations may be made by mailing cash or check to Elaine Bailey, 5461 Eastnol Blvd., Greenville, OH 45331 no later than June 17.
