Darke County OH, June 22, 2011 — Have you ever thought about the
sacrifices that the families of the Military make so our solders can
serve? Have you ever thanked the father of a Navy Seal?
Looked into the eyes of a Marines’ child and said, “Thank-you?”The men
and woman of the United States Military serve everyday across the
world, and the quiet heroes that stand with them are their families;
parents, spouses, siblings, children, grandparents; their loved
ones. Darke County is full of military families, united not by
base location, but, by shared experience, and by living here every day
in our community. The Darke County Red Cross and its many
partners, are hosting a wonderful event designed for you to show your
appreciation the men and women of the military and their families, “A
Salute to Military Families”, where family members can not only enjoy
the day, but find a host of support information designed for them and
where non-military can show their support just by their presence.
Join your community on July 9th at the Greenville
City Park, Marling Band Shell, starting at 5:30 with an incredible

invite in all of our neighbors and friends, to say thanks to our
Nation’s Hero’s and their loved ones, to share a good time, to enjoy an
evening concert under the sky?”
