Horseshoe Pitching Pro Tour Coming to
Greenville
GREENVILLE – The Horseshoe Pitching Professional Tour, which is made up
of the elite players in the sport will be making a stop on its 2011
schedule in Greenville, Ohio.
Greenville, known as the “Horseshoe Pitching Capital of the World” will
host the 50th anniversary of the Ringer Classic on the 4th of July
weekend, and is proud to announce the inclusion of the HP Pro Tour in
the festivities.
The Ringer Classic, one of the most prestigious horseshoe events in the
country is played at the Greenville City Park. The tour is known for
its unique format that includes multiple rounds of play, and will be
part of the open men’s division only during the tournament, with round
one on Saturday morning, round two Saturday evening, and the finals on
Sunday evening. The HP Pro Tour has a great following of players, most
of who are State or World Champions, and hail from a number of
different states.
“This stop was made possible by the Darke County Horseshoe Club, who
worked for months to complete the details,” stated Brian Fisher, club
member.
