Darke County Photo
Club Holds May Meeting
This month’s theme “Shallow Depth of Field”
On Tuesday, May 17, 2011, the Darke County Photography Club held its
May meeting at the Shawnee Prairie Nature Center.
The club will hold a fun photo Scavenger Hunt open to the public on
Tuesday, August 9, 2011, from 6 – 9 PM. Anyone wanting to
participate is to meet at the Shawnee Prairie Nature Center at 6PM to
be divided into groups, given the list of photos to be taken, and given
the rules.
All photos will be taken in Downtown Greenville and the Greenville
Cemetery. We plan to have a slideshow of the photos that are
taken during the Scavenger Hunt at our September meeting.
Members of the Darke County Photography Club display their work at
three venues around the county: The Winery of Versailles, Double
M Diner, and the Shawnee Prairie Nature Center.
Kathy Quinn shared information about an online printing service with
the club. Our monthly feedback session had many nice photographs
that conveyed the theme “Shallow Depth of Field”.
Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday, June, 21, 2011, at 7:00 PM at
the Shawnee Prairie Nature Center. The theme for June’s monthly
feedback session is “Bugs Point of View”; therefore, we expect to see
many creative photographs.
