Bowers
to address “State of the City”
Darke County Republican Mens Club…
Greenville Mayor Mike Bowers will discuss the “State of the City” at
the Republican Mens Club regular meeting on Nov. 19. This month’s
meeting will be at 8 a.m. in the Brick Room of Brethren Retirement
Community.
Bowers, who was recently re-elected (unopposed) to his second term as
Greenville’s mayor, will talk about the concerns addressed in the past
four years and his plans for the future. A primary focus will be his
efforts in economic development.
Bowers, along with Versailles Village Administrator Randy Gump and
Darke County Economic Development Director Marc Saluk, have led
Partnering For Progress efforts at business retention and new business
development as one of the primary focuses of his administration.
Greenville successes include Continental Carbonic, FRAM, JAFE,
Integrity Ambulance and more. He has noted that under the efforts of
P4P, Greenville has been ranked 41st in the nation and fifth in the
state in economic development.
According to the Darke County Republican Mens Club website, “… Mike has
done a conscientious job of serving the residents of Greenville during
his first term as our mayor. He has made tough decisions regarding city
business and has always kept the good of the community as a whole the
basis for those decisions. Mike has accomplished a lot for the city in
terms of helping make Greenville user friendly for businesses.”
The club meets the third Saturday of each month at 8 a.m. and welcomes
visitors. Membership is open to individuals wishing to support
Republican issues, public servants and candidates.
