Darke
County Center for the Arts...
Eighth
Annual Ghost Walk Tour Oct.
28-Oct. 30
Darke
County Center for the Arts
eighth annual Ghost Walk will feature costumed tour guides who will
lead
participants to haunted sites in downtown Greenville as well as actors
who will
portray characters involved in the ghostly tales. The Ghost Walk cast
includes
Michael Bitner, John and Karen Burkett, Phyllis Corbin, Larry and
Marilyn Delk,
Natalie House, Zachary Miller, Jim Kelch, Tim and Katheleen Nealeigh,
and
Chloe, Keith, and Mitchell Rawlins. The Ghost Walk, which will be held
for
three nights Halloween weekend, begins at Henry St. Clair Memorial Hall
at 7:30
p.m. on Friday, October 28, Saturday, October 29, and Sunday, October
30.
The
stories told during the Ghost Walk
are based on tales collected by Arcanum-area resident Rita Arnold who
has
published several volumes recounting spooky happenings within Darke
County and
beyond. Her books will be available for purchase at Memorial Hall prior
to and
following the Ghost Walk tours. Additionally, Greenville Masonic Lodge
#143
Craft Club will be serving refreshments at Memorial Hall before and
after the
event.
Potential
Ghost Walk participants are
reminded that some of the walking tour sites include uneven terrain and
may be
located in dimly lighted areas. Also, as in years past, Ghost Walk will
be held
regardless of weather conditions; if seriously inclement weather
occurs, the
stories will be told indoors at Memorial Hall.
Ghost
Walk tickets cost $10, and can be
purchased at DCCA’s office located on the third floor of Greenville
Public
Library, as well as at Ann’s Gifts and Readmore’s Hallmark in downtown
Greenville; tickets will also be available at the door. Tickets can be
reserved
by contacting DCCA at 937-547-0908 or dcca@centerforarts.net.
