First Arcanum Candidates Night

The
League of Women Voters of Darke
County will sponsor a Candidates’ Forum for
Arcanum, Monday, October 17. The Forum will be
focused on Arcanum Mayor
and School Board Candidates. Information will be presented on the State
and
local library issue as well. The
event
will be held in the new Arcanum School Cafetorium at 7 PM.
Arcanum
candidates listed below will
give two minute introductory speeches at the Forum.
Following that, they will answer
questions. The
public is encouraged to
attend and submit written questions.
Questions are then screened by a panel
overseen by League members,
equally represented from the Democratic and Republican parties. The following candidates
are listed in the
order that they will appear on the program.
•
Arcanum Mayor: (Vote
for one): Wallace N. Alderman, Jr.
(incumbent), Monte L. Clark, Shelley Dottillis and Judith F. Foureman.
•
Arcanum Board of Education (Vote for
two): Beverly Delk,
Ed Everman
(incumbent), Tracy A. Fout, Howie McLain II (incumbent) and Mark Trask.
The
second Candidates’ Forum is
Monday, October 24 from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM at the American Legion, Ohio
Street
in Greenville. This
non-partisan forum
will focus on the contested candidates for Darke County Municipal
Court,
Greenville Board of Education and Greenville City Council, Ward 1. Information on State and
local issues will be
presented at both Forums.
The
League of Women Voters is a
non-partisan organization with the major purpose being to inform voters
about
the candidates and issues. For
