Greenville Municipal
to hold Last Concert of the Season
The Greenville Municipal Concert Band, under the direction of JR Price,
will present its final concert of the 2011 season in the Greenville
City Park this Sunday, September 4th. The Concert will begin at
7:30 and is free and open to the public.
Our year end concert will feature soloists Linda Payne and Brian
McKibben. Linda Payne will lead in the singing of God Bless
America and Brian will perform a trombone solo to O Solo Mio.
These great soloists will be joined by the band performing such music
as The Great Gate of Kiev, Selections from Aladdin, our usual marches
and Amazing Grace arranged by Ken McCoy. The band will end the
show with a stunning version of Danny Boy and Stars and Stripes Forever.
There is plenty of seating available in the park or you can bring your
own lawn chair or blanket. We hope to see you this Sunday at
7:30.
