Upper Floors Provide Discovery of Hidden Gems

Main Street Greenville...

Have you ever dreamed of living in the midst of an historic, eclectic environment?  Are you thinking that your business would benefit from a vibrant location where you will be a valued member of a supportive, committed business group?  Or, are you just plain curious about your downtown and wonder where the blacksmith set-up his shop in the 1800’s and where the funeral home was located on Broadway in the 1900’s?

Then you will want to be part of the May 4, First Friday Upper Floor Tour to see and discover our “hidden gems”.    600 South Broadway (American Title Resource) and 529 South Broadway (Youniques) are part of this interesting downtown event.  Building owners will be on hand to share the rich history of these National Historic buildings and inform of their vision for the space.  This amazing tour will include 2 other “upper floor” locations and 2 bonus locations in downtown!  Tickets for this tour are $5 each and are available at Granny’s Corner and Bread of Life.  Tickets can also be purchased at the door of any of the four stops for this evening’s event.  Also, since it is “First Friday” downtown businesses will be open late!

This third annual Upper Floor Building Tour is sponsored by Mote and Associates, a professional design firm specializing in civil engineering and land surveying.  The tour is presented by Main Street Greenville in collaboration with Historic Preservation Month to bring awareness and respect to our built environment.

“First Fridays” is a monthly event presented by Main Street Greenville-a non-profit organization committed to stimulating and supporting revitalization efforts, historic preservation and grown in historic Downtown Greenville.  To learn more, visit www.DowntownGreenville.org or call 937-548-4998.
