Cast
for
DCCA’s Cinderella announced
A throng of
local students auditioned for roles in Darke County Center for the Arts
production of Missoula Children’s Theatre’s Cinderella on Monday, July
30; the
cast of 60 was chosen from the 94 youngsters who tried out for roles.
Following
one week of intense rehearsals, DCCA will present two performances of
Cinderella at Henry St. Clair Memorial Hall in Greenville this
Saturday, August
4. Curtain time for the matinee is 3 p.m.; the evening performance is
at 7 p.m.
Abigail
Kramer won the role of the title character; Cinderella’s stepsisters
Lovely and
Beauty will be played by Lauren Durham and Abigail White. Jalena
LeMaster will
play the evil Stepmother. Cleo the cat will be acted by Harley West and
Carter
Puckett will appear as Fido the Dog. Lords and Ladies of the Court will
be
played by Grace Coakley, Briannah Harshbarger, Lauren Warner, Reagan
Herndon,
Sifa Makombe, Allie Tanner, Sophie Gettinger, Isaac Gulley, Maxwell
Jordan,
Preston Pietrzak, Alex Strait, Kale Conway, Jakob Poor, and Cameron
Clark.
Faith Jones
and Cole Kramer will play Town Criers; Isaac White will appear as the
King who
hosts the ball. Featured throughout the production are Josiah Hootman,
Seth
Conway, Christian Layman, Zachary Miller, Nathaniel Rice, Tanner
Herrmann, Sara
Rice, Jessica Tanner, Laura Fields, Hannah Gulley, Elizabeth Evers, Syndey Oda, Olivia Herron,
and Emily Myer as
Beggars led by Casey Puckett as Rags. Maddie Baker as Raggedy Annie the
fairy
godmother will enlist the help of the Mice played by Lauren Hartings,
Lucy
Stiefel, Rachel Wright, Israel Layman, Evan Van Skyock, Eveline
Pietrzak,
Katherine Kauffman, Elizabeth Moss, Maddie Durham, and Winifred
Stiefel, and
the Pumpkins portrayed by Emaline Duquette, Lauren Pohl, Payton
Herrmann, Karis
Wright, Gabe White, Lauren Wright, Kylee Freeman, Mya Conway, and Tyler
McKinnis to create the magic essential to the classic tale.
Christian
Brumbaugh, Myah Durbin, Hanna Rice, and Rachel Unger will serve as
Assistant
Directors throughout the week, assisting MCT Tour Actor/Directors Karen
Killion
and Adam Ferguson; Adam will also play Patches in the production. Judy
Kugel is
accompanist for the show.
This
Missoula Children’s Theatre residency is made possible by a grant from
Darke
County Endowment for the Arts; DCCA also receives funding from local
businesses
and foundations and the Ohio Arts Council. MCT, based in Missoula,
Montana, is
the nation’s largest touring children’s theatre, and this year will
visit more
than 1,200 communities in all 50 states and 17 countries.
