September 6, 6:00 pm. Join a Darke County Parks Naturalist for this brand new series. Meet at the Gettysburg Access Point at Bridge Street and ride The Tecumseh Trail. First Friday - downtown Greenville

September 7. Enjoy an evening downtown with Street Performers including: Jugglers, Stilt Walkers, Mimes, Magicians, Belly Dancers , Fire Breathers and Balloon Artists. World 100 at Eldora Speedway

September 7 & 8. Take the entire family to Eldora Speedway for the first 'big' race among the grassroots speedways. Of the many mega-buck events that populates dirt Late Model racing, the prestige and legacy of the World 100 has a history of annually attracting the largest field of entrants. Traditionally upwards of 150 race cars from 20+ states attack Eldora Speedway for this event, in hopes of earning one of the 30 starting positions in the 100-lap main event. Tommy Emmanuel in Concert

September 8, 8:00 pm. Two-time Grammy nominee, Tommy Emmanuel is one of Australia’s most respected musicians. The legendary guitarist has a professional career that spans five decades and continues to intersect with some of the finest musicians throughout the world. Try your hand at candle-making, tinsmithing and more! Take a stroll through the 18th century encampment and watch a tomahawk & knife throwing competition. Participate in a pie-baking contest or take a stroll along the non-profit food vendors for a wide range of tasty treats! Take a load off as you enjoy fresh produce from Downing's Fruit Farm. 50th Annual Ohio Gourd Show

September 29 &30 Sat. 9 am - 5 pm; Sun. 9 am - 4 pm. This show brings together many of the finest gourd artists and craftspersons and gourd growers from across the nation. Their specimens will be exhibited in a 145 class competition - all vying for that coveted blue ribbon. Junior gourd enthusiasts also have their own competitive contest. For those who wish to gain a new skill in gourd crafting there will be a wide variety of workshops taught by well-qualified instructors. The little folks may take part in children's activities both days. Spread out in the outdoor area will be thousands of dry gourds just waiting to be purchased and turned into a 'one of a kind" masterpiece. A large trade show offers crafted gourds, paints, tools, seeds and just about anything else a "gourder" could want.
