Great Darke County Fair
Montgomery Gentry
headlines 2013 Concert
The Board of Directors for the Darke County Agricultural Society are
pleased to announce that Montgomery Gentry will headline the Sunday,
August 18th concert during the 157th Great Darke Fair. Florida
Georgia Line will be the opening act beginning at 7:30 p.m.
With a new album, a new label and a renewed sense of musical purpose,
Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry are poised to stake their claim as one
of country music’s all-time greatest duos.
When the two Kentucky boys—Eddie, is from Lancaster and Troy is from
Lexington—first busted onto the national scene in 1999 with the defiant
“Hillbilly Shoes” notice was served—country music had never seen a hard
driving duo like this.
The duo’s new collection, the aptly titled Rebels On The Run, brings
Montgomery Gentry fans back to the beginning, but with a fresh
attitude. Produced by Michael Knox, who has helped build Jason Aldean
to superstar status, Eddie and Troy’s latest effort will likely be
remembered as their best album thus far in their decade-plus history.
“We grew up on Charlie Daniels, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Lynyrd
Skynyrd and Merle Haggard,” Eddie says with conviction. “That’s who we
are. We cut our teeth in the honky tonks and no matter what you try to
do, we have to be us or it just doesn’t sound right.” For more

The full-throttle excitement that Florida Georgia Line has carried to
packed houses throughout the Southeast is now going nationwide.
The duo—Monroe, Georgia’s Tyler Hubbard and Ormond Beach, Florida’s
Brian Kelley—have turned their highly engaging brand of showmanship
into opening slots for artists like Jake Owen and his sold out CMT Tour
that is running thru the end of 2012, Brantley Gilbert and Colt Ford,
and into a coveted spot on the 2012 Country Throwdown Tour with the
likes of Gary Allan, Rodney Atkins, and Justin Moore. They will
be touring with Luke Bryan in 2013 as well as doing some 2013 dates
with Taylor Swift.
Now they have captured all the fire and energy of that stage show in a
new single, “Cruise,” an infectious anthem to love in its first magic
moments. “Cruise” has had a fast rise to the top of the Itunes sales
charts, and has reached the plateau of the # 1 Single on Billboard and
Media Base country charts. The first offering from their
five-song EP It’z Just What We Do, it brings their trademark harmonies
and rocking sound to bear on a tale of youthful attraction, music and
Georgia back roads. Produced by Joey Moi, whose credits range from Jake
Owen to Nickelback, “Cruise” is sure to thrill their old and new fans
alike. For more information on Florida Georgia Line, visit
