Holiday Open House
The
Friends of the Greenville Public Library are hosting their annual
Holiday Open
House on Saturday, December 8th from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on the
first
floor of the Library. This
delightful
event consists of tables full of cookies, Santa & Mrs. Claus,
live music,
and beautiful Christmas trees, decorations, and poinsettias.
Kids
can have their pictures taken free with Santa & Mrs. Claus (to
be picked up
the next week). Coffee & punch are also available with the wide
assortment
of delicious cookies. Many
thanks to
Nancy Jackson who will play her flute again this year, adding to the
festive
atmosphere. While
you're in the Library,
check out a few holiday books, movies, and CD's!
The
Friends of the Library are a group of volunteers dedicated to
enriching,
promoting, and sponsoring literacy efforts in our community. Their
ideas,
efforts, voices, and funds promote and support the Library. Contributions, membership
dues, and funds
raised through the used book sale are used to purchase items for the
Library
and sponsor such programs as Summer Reading and Family Fun Day. Many
thanks to
the Friends for all their support and for such a fun party!
