League of
Women Voters...
Ethics and
Honesty in Politics Event -- Thursday, February 23, 2012
February 11, 2012
Ethics in
Political Office will be the subject
Susan Willeke will address at 6 p.m. on
Thursday, February
23 at the American Legion on Ohio Street. Susan is with the Ohio
Ethics Commission and
brings new insights to the long standing push for better ethics in
politics.
The League
of Women Voters of Darke County is sponsoring this event as part of its
on-going goal of citizen education.
Concerns about ethics in politics and
political office are not confined
to just one level of government. Local,
state and federal levels of government are suspect from time to time.
With more
knowledge, each citizen can be part of the move to provide our
community, state
and nation with a more ethical government.
Ms.
Willeke, who is the Education and Communications Administrator for the
Ethics
Commission, will answer
questions from
the audience as part of the presentation.
Susan is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of
Ursuline College in Pepper Pike,
Ohio and has extensive experience working in various capacities in
government.
The
League of Women Voters of Darke County
hope all who are genuinely concerned about honesty and integrity in
government
offices will attend. The
evening should
be informative and and instruct citizens on the laws provided to
safeguard
against unethical practices among our government officials and
employees.
