Children’s
Art Class Begins Winter
Sessions
Jaunuary 4, 2012
GREENVILLE
–The Art-Rageous Experience
– Children’s Art Program is beginning their winter sessions of classes
on Saturday morning in January. The first sessions will be January
7, 2012 .
“We
are planning the art classes right
now and enrolling children to begin very soon,” said Debby Brayfield,
program
administrator. These
classes give young
children the chance to experience and experiment with different kinds
of art
each Saturday morning. This
is a family
activity, where parents / other adults also attend for support and
encouragement while the children learn.
Children work on different projects each week;
they learn about
different artists, art techniques and there are visits from local
artists with
some of their paintings.
These
classes are fun, age
appropriate, and keep children’s minds and hands busy!
The classes are sponsored by Council on Rural
Services and taught by an experienced teacher/artist at the Council
on Rural
Services on third street in
downtown
Greenville. There
is one class
for 4-5-6-7 year olds and another for 8-9-10-11 year olds.
Art
programs help young children
explore creativity; learn to pay attention to detail, build self-esteem
and a
have a sense of accomplishment.
Fees
for the classes are family
affordable with full scholarships available if needed, all supplies are
furnished. To
enroll your child in this
class, call Council on Rural Services at 1-866-627-4557 and ask for
Debby
Brayfield.
This
is a great winter class to keep kids
busy!
