The

museum has
been restoring and renovating the museum interior for additional
exhibit space.
This event
is the first health focused event for the museum. It is hoped that area
runners
and their family and friends will take advantage of this event to
support the
museum’s preservation efforts.
The museum
will be celebrating 10 years since incorporation
November 2002. Since its inception the museum
has restored and preserved the only remaining railroad structure the BF
Tower
listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The museum
purchased and is
restoring and renovating the 1919 bank into its main headquarters for
meetings
and exhibition.
The current
renovation has increased the exhibit space by 70%. Raising funds
through the
Run for the Rails is expected to draw out of town runners into the
museum for a
look at the unique railroad heritage of a small town.
The museum
is now on facebook so take a look and spread the word and plan to
participate
in the September 29, 2012 Run for the Rails @ 9 am. Runners will get a
chance
to visit the museum with their registration fee.
