Calling all
2002 GHS Graduates!
Reunion
at
J&J Party Facilities on Aug. 18
In 2002,
our very own Matt Light and his New England Patriots won the Superbowl,
U.S.
military forces invaded Afghanistan and Iraq, and 250ish young adults
graduated
from Greenville High School.
Fast-forward
ten years, and many of us have changed. We’ve moved, spent years in
higher
education, worked our way up the ladder, served our country abroad,
married,
had kids and in all ways tried to navigate our way through life as
adults.
We first
learned how to drive around the traffic circle, then how to complete
job and
college applications, and now are on to wedding licenses, rent and
mortgage
payments, social security cards for kids and (gasp!) 401Ks.
Now, ten
years later, it’s time to remember how we were as students at
Greenville High
School and come together to celebrate and recognize all that has
happened in
the last decade.
Please join
us on Saturday, August 18 from 4-8 pm at the J&J Party
Facilities, 3875 St.
Rt. 502, in Greenville. We’ll hang out, cook out, drink, eat, play
cornhole,
volleyball, who knows where the night might lead us.
We’ll talk
about high school and the days since we graduated, remember those who
left us
too early and debate why, at the ripe old ages of 27, 28 and 29, some
of us are
seeing gray hairs, some of us are seeing less hair, and many of us are
having
more and more conversations with friends about taxes than we ever
thought
possible.
To get more
information about attending the event, please contact me and I’ll fill
you in
on all the details (and tell you about the lines that are appearing
around my
eyes.)
I’ll be
looking forward to catching up with everyone and relieving our days at
GHS.
