August 2nd - Backcountry Survival 5:00PM
Assist
Staff with a summer camp overnight here at SPP. Please contact me today
if you
are interested.
Monday,
August 6th – Bike to Health 6:30 PM
Join a
Naturalist as we bike all or a portion on Tecumseh Trail. Meet at the
Gettysburg Access Point (Bridge Street). Families are welcome.
Wednesday,
August 8th- Coppess Work Day – 9AM
Meet at
Coppess Nature Sanctuary as we prune back the walking paths and paint
some of
the wooden structures.
Thursday,
August 9th- Task Force Day- 8AM
Meet us at
SPP and we will all head over the Turkeyfoot as our goal for the day
will be to
tackle the following: repair boards on bridge, repair a parking block,
install
new post by parking lot, etc.
Saturday,
August 11th - Log House Open: 1-4PM
Seeking
volunteer to host the Log House so visiting public can look inside and
visit.
Friday,
August 17th- Friday August 24th – Great Darke County Fair-noon-8PM
It’s time
for the Great Darke County Fair! Our
booth would love your help to capture others like yourself who would
like to
help out Darke County Parks. If
you
would like to assist please see me as I have a separate sign-up sheet
for the
Fair.

wood pile as our goal for the day is to split and cut wood for various
upcoming
programs. If you have a chainsaw/ ax please plan on bringing them with
you.
