Cooking at KitchenAid Experience
Step into a fully-equipped kitchen and watch as fun is stirred up with
a variety of KitchenAid Countertop Appliances. Teachers will use
mixers, attachments, food processors… even cutlery! Learn the full use
of these wonderful countertop appliances as well as new culinary
techniques, tips and tricks of the trade. Activities and demonstrations
make this more than a store… it’s a mixing, blending, slicing culinary
adventure! Cooking classes are offered on Wednesdays, Fridays and

First Fridays: Culinary Tour
March 2, 6:00 pm. Take part in a Culinary Tour of downtown Greenville.
Eat and sip your way through the urban spirited district that is on the
rise of young entrepreneurs. Sponsored by Ozro & Ray’s, the tour
will consist of several small groups guided by energetic foodies &
connoisseurs of downtown. Each group will visit over 6 downtown
establishments highlighting amazing fare one would not know existed in
Darke County. The two hour guided tour will start promptly at 6:00 pm
leaving plenty of time to take in other fine establishments in the
historic business district at the end of the tour. Tickets are $10 and
available at The Coffee Pot, Readmore’s Hallmark, Third Street Market,

Maple Sugarin’ at the Prairie
March 3 & 4. Enjoy guided tours through history and science to
learn the process of turning sap into syrup. Visit the Sugar Shack to
warm up in the steam-filled evaporator room, and learn about the
countless hours of boiling to reduce sap down to syrup. Visit with the
200-year-old pioneers and discuss 18th century life at the Log House.
Wrap up your visit at the Nature Center where the gift shop will be
full of maple goodies for your sweet tooth. For more information, call

Friends of Bear’s Mill ‘Soup n’ Bowl Fundraiser’
March 10, 5:00, 6:30 & 8:00 pm. Enjoy homemade soups presented in a
unique, stoneware soup bowl as you support the heritage of Bear’s Mill.
Bowls are hand-made and donated by local potters Julie Clark, Ben
Deeter, Dionne Fleming, Rita Wiley or Loretta Wray. Each bowl is
numbered with a date representing one of the years the mill has been in
existence, 1849 thru 2012. Delicious soups donated by The Bistro off
Broadway and fresh-made breads donated by Bakehouse Breads. Desserts,
beverage and live music by Brian Wallen also offered. Tickets are $25
for individual and $20 for Friends of Bear’s Mill. Call 937-548-5112 or

Adult Easter Egg Hunt at The Winery at Versailles
March 31, 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Who said Easter egg hunts are just for kids?
Sign up now for the Third Annual Adult Easter Egg Hunt at The Winery At
Versailles. This event benefits The Cancer Care Center at Wayne Health
Care. Admission is only $5. For every non-perishable food item you
bring to donate to a local food bank, you get a ticket for the door
