A Learning
Place will be offering a series of training sessions for existing local
business owner/managers who wear many hats with a wide variety of
responsibilities. Do
you need to know more as a business
owner? This
is series can be your
answer; we know that production, marketing/sales, human resources, and
financial management are among the many concerns businesses deal with
daily.
Few
individuals are proficient in all of these critical areas. The Business
Management Series is designed to provide classroom presentation,
on-site
technical assistance, and a telephone/internet rapid-response resource
system.
A Learning Place will be sponsoring this Business Management Training
at their
location for area businesses. This program series will deliver 2.5 hour
weekly
class sessions on critical business topics:
Series one
- Financing the Business May 24 and 31, 6:00-8:30 p.m.

of Feasibility

of financing/impact of legal
organization.
• “Through
the eyes of the lender” (or
investor) -credit
analysis
• Government
incentives
• Preparation
of the financing package

Series two
- Management by the Numbers (Introduction to financial analysis for the
business owner/manager) June 7, 14, 21, 6:00-8:30 p.m.
• Basic
financial statements
• Construction
and meaning
• Basic
ratio analysis
• The
return on investment model
• Integrating
R.O.I. into a Business and / or
continuous improvement plan
Investment:
$145.00/business; up to (3) persons/ business may attend.
The class
instructor is Jon Heffner, longtime business consultant in the region
and
General Partner of the ProtoGen Group.
The
classes will be held at A Learning
Place, 201 RM Davis Parkway, Piqua, Ohio.
