Friends of
Greenville Library...
Support
the
Family Summer Reading Program by donating used books
May 7, 2012
What does
the Friends of the Greenville Library do with all those used books? Those good used books are
treasures the community
can purchase for funds to be used to support the Library’s extra needs.
FOL has
sponsored the Family Summer Reading program for many years. They
supported the
position of genealogy specialist for two years, contributed to the
Young Adult
Wii and Lego program, purchased the large computer printer, the window
treatments in the computer room and genealogy room, and many other of
the
Library needs over and above the budget.
FOL has also budgeted funds to supplement the
cost of the planned
security system to protect the Library from theft of materials.
So,
plan to deliver small amounts of good
used books to the Library or large amounts to PAWS Bingo Hall across
from the
Dairy Queen in Greenville during weekday afternoons.
Call 548-1916 for information and keep those
good used books coming in!
