Greenville Public Library ...
Book sales
starts Friday
Just a few
days left to drop of your gently used books
May 16,2012
With only
one week until the big Used Book Sale at PAWS, Friends of the
Greenville Public
Library are getting very excited about the variety of good used books,
DVDs and
other audio materials coming in almost daily!
Patrons may
deliver books any weekday from 12 until 5 at PAWS Bingo Hall across
from the
Dairy Queen on Martin Street. And
treasure hunters as well as those stocking their summer reading supply
can shop
next Friday, May 25, from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. or Saturday, May 26, from
9 a.m.
until 2 p.m. On
Saturday, FOL will
furnish brown paper grocery bags that can be stuffed full for only
$3.00.
Funds from
these used book sales help to support the Greenville Public Library by
enabling
it to purchase items not covered in the yearly budget.
The current project FOL will be helping with
is a security system which will aid in
preventing loss which is a substantial cost to
the Library each year.
In
supplementing their reading/visual/audio
materials, patrons are contributing to programs and equipment for the
Greenville Public Library. The
Friends
of the Library appreciate the many donations and the many customers who
support
the Used Book Sale each spring. For
information, call 548-1916.
