CAP Senior Christmas Luncheon set for
December 13
Community Action Partnership’s Senior Assistance Program invites Darke
County Seniors, age 60 and older, to participate in the Christmas
Luncheon on December 13 at one of the three congregate sites. Doors
open at 10 am and reservations must be made by December 10. Mary
Puthoff, Senior Programs Coordinator states, “Get your reservations in
early! We can only accept reservations to accommodate each building’s
capacity.
Locations are the Greenville site at 1469 Sweitzer Street; Versailles
site is the Fleur de Lis Community Center; and New Madison site is the
Community Center on Harrison Street. The menu is Baked ham, whipped
sweet potatoes, mixed vegetable blend, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie and
dinner roll. Entertainment will include singing of Christmas Carols and
Bingo with prizes at all locations. Delbert Blickenstaff will
present some of his past stories at the Greenville site following
lunch.”
Mary went on to say that there is a suggested donation of $3.00 for the
meal and persons younger than 60 may attend at a cost of $7.50 per
meal. Transportation is available for those who need it. Reservations
for the meal and transportation should be made by December 10 by
calling 548-2727.
