OSU students visit
Greenville Junior High
(GREENVILLE) – About a dozen Ohio State University students will visit
Greenville Junior High School on Friday, Nov. 2.
The students, part of the Access88 Outreach Program at OSU, will
present activities designed to encourage students to begin planning
their futures and to think about higher education.
Greenville is one of five stops that the OSU Access88 program is making
this fall.
“We are really looking forward to their visit,” said Beth Sears,
executive director of Bridges to College. “Their visits have received
such positive responses from other communities. They have a great
curriculum and the younger students respond well to the college
students.”
Bridges to College is helping to coordinate the visit.
On Friday evening, Nov. 2, the OSU students will present a program for
parents at 7 p.m. at Greenville Junior High School. Parents can bring
their children because the OSU students will offer a concurrent program
at the junior high school.
A drawing for door prizes will be held during the Friday evening
program. Among the items offered is a $100 college savings account from
College Advantage.
On Saturday, Nov. 3, the OSU students are planning to talk with
community leaders and OSU alumni before returning to Columbus.
