Edison
Film Series Brings “Brave” to Campus
Edison
Community College will kick off its fall movie series Saturday, Oct. 6,
with
the Disney/Pixar summer family blockbuster Brave in the courtyard of
the Piqua
Campus.
The
movie will start at 8 p.m. and attendees are encouraged to bring
blankets and
lawn chairs for the outdoor show. In the event of rain, the movie will
be moved
inside to the theater. Admission to the movie is $1, popcorn will be
provided
free of charge and door prizes will be given out throughout the evening.
“We
had a huge turnout for our showing of The Avengers back in August and
we’re
looking forward to another great show this Saturday with Brave,” said
Chip
Hare, director of student life and athletics. “It’s a great opportunity
for our
community to come to our beautiful campus and enjoy a movie night under
the
stars.”
Set
in
Scotland in a rugged and mythical time, Brave tells the animated story
of
Princess Merida, who defies a custom that brings chaos to her kingdom.
Granted
one wish, she must rely on her bravery and archery skills to undo a
terrible
curse. This will be one of the last chances to see the movie on the big
screen
before it heads to DVD and Blu-Ray in November.
From
concerts and movies to championship athletics and nationally recognized
speakers, Edison Community College works diligently to bring
entertaining and
enlightening events to campus. For more information on what’s coming to
campus,
