Darke
County Center for the Arts
DCCA announces Ghost
Walk Tour Guides and Actors
Darke County Center for the Arts ninth annual Ghost Walk will feature
costumed tour guides who will lead participants to haunted sites in
downtown Greenville as well as actors who will portray characters
involved in the ghostly tales. Tour guides include Michael Bitner,
Shanna Camacho, Marilyn Delk, and Keith Rawlins. Jim Bruney, John and
Karen Burkett, Phyllis Corbin, Larry Delk, Deirdre Grennan, Natalie
House, Becci Miller, Jim Kelch, and Chloe and Mitchell Rawlins will
share spooky stories at some of the spots visited on the tour. The
Ghost Walk begins at Henry St. Clair Memorial Hall at 7:30 p.m. on
Friday, October 26, Saturday, October 27, and Sunday, October 28. As in
past years, Ghost Walk will be held regardless of weather conditions;
if seriously inclement weather occurs, all of the stories will be told
indoors.
A new addition to the Ghost Walk will be an “After Walk” at The Coffee
Pot in downtown Greenville immediately following Saturday night's Ghost
Walk tour. The informal gathering will offer participants the
opportunity to hear behind-the-scenes stories from tour guides and
actors, as well as to share stories of their own; this event extension
will begin at around 9:30 p.m.
The stories told during the Ghost Walk are based on tales collected by
Arcanum-area resident Rita Arnold who has published several volumes
recounting spooky happenings within Darke County and beyond. Her books
will be available for purchase at Memorial Hall prior to and following
the Ghost Walk tours. Additionally, Greenville Masonic Lodge #143 Craft
Club will be serving refreshments at Memorial Hall before and after the
event.
Ghost Walk tickets cost $10, and can be purchased at DCCA's office
located on the third floor of Greenville Public Library, as well as at
Ann's Gifts and Readmore's Hallmark in downtown Greenville; tickets
will also be available at the door. Tickets can be reserved by
contacting DCCA at 937-547-0908 or dcca@centerforarts.net or purchased
on line at www.centerforarts.net.
