Feltman to speak at Garst
Jeffrey Feltman, Under-Secretary-General, United Nations Department of
Political Affairs, will be speaking in a special Lecture Series program
at Garst Museum on May 5.
Feltman, a Greenville native, is the first Ohioan to hold a position at
this level in the United Nations.
He graduated from Ball State University in 1981 and Tufts University in
1983.
Some of his postings during his career in foreign service include
Senior Advisor to the Ambassador, U.S. Embassy, Tel Aviv, Israel, U.S.
Ambassador to the Republic of Lebanon, Principal Deputy Assistant
Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, and U.S. Assistant
Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs.
