Bill Light to perform
holiday concert
To get Darke
County
inhabitants in the Christmas spirit, William (Bill) C. Light will be
performing a 2-hour holiday concert at the Coffee Pot in downtown
Greenville, OH, starting at 7 PM on Friday, December 20.
Light played in
a number of
jazz bands during the 1960’s, including the Johnny McCoy Orchestra
and the 22-piece Si Zentner Orchestra with which he toured across
America for two years. He plays numerous instruments; however, for
the holiday concert he will be performing live vocals and
instrumentals using his two Roland keyboards.
The evening of
music will
not only be of the holiday variety, but numerous other styles of
music will be performed ranging from jazz to pop to classical to
country, to rock and more. Lyric sheets will be provided on the
tables for those who wish to sing along with Christmas carols.
“I hope folks
will show
up for this show,” Light said. “I think it will be a fun evening
communicating through music with friends on a night so close to the
sacred holiday. There will be a number of my book The Stories there
as gifts for the taking. Hope to see you at the Coffee Pot.
