Bradford Ohio Railroad Museum to close Dec.
29 for the winter
The Bradford Ohio Railroad Museum will be closing for the winter
December 29. There are only 4 days left to see this year’s Penn Central
exhibits. December 21, 22, 28 and 29. The museum is open Saturday 10
am- 1 pm and Sunday 1 pm- 4 pm.
The museum just finished the first Trim a Tree a fund raising activity
that supports capital improvements to the museum.
The participating area businesses decorated table top trees every tree
was based on their business. The museum wishes to thank, Fifth Third
Bank, Greenville National Bank, Covington Savings and Loan, Marshall’s
Service Station, Rich’s, Above and Beyond Salon, Teresa’s Beauty Salon,
Village Pizza, Clark’s Pizza House, Littman Thomas Insurance Agency,
Weldy’s Dairy Bar, The Train Stop and the Gro Garden Club for
decorating the trees. Each tree was a perfect reflection of their
specialty.
The proceeds from the sale will be used for the basement renovation
into the children’s learning center. The renovation will be completed
during the winter closure. The museum will dedicate the Children’s
Center in April when the museum opens for the 2014 season April 5,
2014. The theme for 2014 will be Conrail.
