The Garst
Museum
cordially invites the public to attend their annual Holiday Open
House on Sunday, December 8th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. During the
Holiday Open House, the public can tour the museum and the National
Annie Oakley Center at no charge. The festive highlights include
seasonal music, light refreshments, and beautifully decorated
Christmas trees by the following groups: Wildflower Garden Club,
Butterflies Junior Garden Club, Sun and Fun Garden Club, Ladybug
Garden Club, Wood Sprite Garden Club, the VFW Women’s Auxiliary,
and Ft. Greeneville Chapter of the Daughters of the American
Revolution. This year’s theme celebrates Darke County’s towns and
villages.
To add to
the seasonal
fun, the museum will be exhibiting artifacts from their Christmas
collection. Just in time for gift giving, the Museum Store will be
offering a 20% discount on all non-consignment items.
Also,
please do not
forget that the Garst Museum Christmas Wreath Silent Auction is going
on now. Bidding for the wreaths will continue until 3:30 PM on
Sunday, December, 8, (the afternoon of the Holiday Open House). E-mail
or phone bids must be received by 3:30 PM. You can view these

The
wreaths were
designed by the Arcanum Garden Club, Butterflies Junior and Ladybug
Garden Clubs, Gamma Epsilon Chapter of Lambda Chi Omega, Garden
Girls, Sun and Fun, Versailles, Wood Sprite and Wildflower Garden
Clubs. Wreaths will be delivered within Darke County to the
successful bidder. Out of county bidders may pick them up or pay
shipping costs and have them shipped through the Garst Museum Gift
Shop. You need not be present to win as winners will be notified.
