Culture of Ohio: The 1st Mound

Join
us on Saturday, February 16th at
10:00am as we welcome respected author and editor, Bob Converse, as he
shares
his knowledge of the prehistoric Adena culture which thrived in Ohio
around
3,000 to 4,000 years ago.
He
will explain how these unique people
introduced the first pottery, built the first burial mounds, and
fashioned
amazing tools made of flint and slate. There will be many displays of
Adena
artifacts from Darke County.
Following
the lecture, Mr. Converse
will autograph his books, including The Archaeology of Ohio and will
also
inspect any artifacts you may have found and help you discover more
about
them.
