Bradford
Ohio Railroad Museum
Dining
By Rail to be held April 13
The
second annual Dining By Rail will be held
April 13, 2013. This year the Dinner Train has moved on down the line
to
Covington, Ohio and will be held at the Covington Eagles at 715 E
Broadway
Street.
The
dinner consists of authentic railroad
recipes from the railroad companies that were known for their great
Dining Car
Service. Our Chef is Michael James of Catering by Michael’s from
Greenville. He
received great reviews last year and is sure to please our diners this
year
with new recipes.
This
is a major fundraiser for the museum as
the proceeds support capital improvements at the museum’s main exhibit
hall at
200 N Miami Avenue.
This
year the Silent Auction that is held in
conjunction with the dinner will begin at 6 pm and conclude after our
program
with the highest bidder winning the item. To date we have the following
donations for the silent auction. Tickets and Sweatshirt for the Great
Darke
County Fair, $100 Gift Card from Meijer, tickets to the Cincinnati Reds
Baseball game, Tickets for the Whitewater Railroad in Connersville
Indiana, a
gift Basket from Rothschild’s Farm in Urbana, and a $100 gift
certificate for
performances at CAPA’s Palace, Southern or Ohio Theaters and a Julie
Clark
pottery piece from the Bear’s Mill.
This
is just for starters. By the time the Date
arrives there will be more items for our diners to bid on. The dinner
will
start at 7 pm and our program will be given by Bill Haines at 8 pm a
former BF
Tower Operator.
You
do not have to be a railroad member to
attend. The dinner is open to anyone who loves good food and good times
and
good causes to support. We would like to have a full dinner train of
guests.
Reservations
can be made through the website by
clicking on Dining By Rail and sending in the reservation form. The
website is
www.bradfordrrmuseum.org. Make your reservation as early as possible to
be
assured a seat on the Dinner Train before it leaves the station.
